C+J opted for an intimate wedding in Santa Cruz, a

C+J opted for an intimate wedding in Santa Cruz, a place where they met (UCSC), fell in love, and felt closely connected to. They opted to have a quiet getting ready with just the two of them in an A-frame tucked into the Santa Cruz Mountains. @kellyjobeauty got both of them ready, and we traversed into the redwoods for a first look. Awaiting us at the Arboretum, their closest family and friends greeted them for an intimate ceremony underneath the billowing trees. They held a cocktail hour in their families rose garden, after we did a sunset family walk along the coast, noticing birds, the water, and vibrant plant life. The evening ended with a family-style dinner, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.❤️‍🔥⚡️I love Santa Cruz intimate weddings!!

As a big nature and animal lover growing up, Frank

As a big nature and animal lover growing up, Frank and Andreas wedding was something I could have only dreamed up! Their wedding at the California Academy of Sciences was such a unique experiences, guests were welcomed under the T-Rex skeleton, a wedding ceremony held in the African Hall in front of penguins, a cocktail hour spent exploring the rainforest and underground aquarium, finished with a spectacular reception perfectly executed by their team. More of shooting in Science Museums please!!

As I come out of a quiet sabbatical I wanted to re

As I come out of a quiet sabbatical I wanted to reintroduce myself!   I’m Savannah - wedding & elopement photographer in Santa Cruz + Northern California. I live next to the ocean with my husband and the light of our lives (our fur baby Cornelius). I recently graduated from UCSC and do research and activism work with adults and youths who are incarcerated. In my free time I surf, garden, and am constantly planning my next backpacking trip or get away to Yosemite / Mendocino 🏞️  I’ve had the privilege of documenting love stories since I was just a teenager. As the years go on, I find myself falling more and more in love with this work (especially after getting married myself). As cliché as it sounds, weddings are an incredible moment in our lives, a time where we are not only invited to reflect as a couple but look to our community and those who have walked beside us and shaped us into who we are along the way.

A wedding day is so much more than saying I-do, it’s holding your partner’s hand and taking a moment to look at a room full of all the people who love you and the community the two of you have created together, its parents remembering being there for their child’s first step while they prepare to watch them walk down the aisle, it’s grandparents dancing with their grandchildren; sometimes for the last time.

Being witness to these moments is one of my greatest honors. It’s a true joy getting to know couples before their wedding, watching them get so fully loved on by their people on their day, and capturing it all in the process. It’s a pretty magical ride and I feel lucky to be along for it all ✨

N&C and their intimate Yosemite wedding 💕 They started the day at @yosemite_rushcreek getting ready. Then we traveled down into the valley where they exchanged vows under the impressive El Capitan, explored the park for photos, and ended their morning with brunch under the towering sequoias.

Later that evening @williwildflower created an incredible reception space with her floral magic, where everyone dined, danced, laughed and cried together for the rest of the night.

This was a reimagined wedding after the pandemic changed things, and I couldn’t have envisioned a more special way to celebrate the both of them🤍🤍🤍
